Hawksmoor Spitalfields is located just down the road from Nicholas Hawksmoor’s Christ Church Spitalfields and 10 minutes walk from Liverpool Street, Old Street and Aldgate stations.
The cellar Hawksmoor Spitalfields Bar, below the main restaurant, has a glamorous Art Deco interior and it is completely separate from the restaurant upstairs, allowing it to be known as a fully-fledged destination in its own right. The choice of decoration, a combination of Art decor and vintage styling, as well as the lack of windows and low lighting, gives the bar a real night club, atmospheric vibe.
The Hawksmoor Spitalfields Bar presents The Gin Years cocktails, five old favourites including Shaky Pete’s Ginger Brew: with gin, homemade ginger syrup, lemon juice and London Pride, it’s clear to see why this is still such a big hit.
The beers come from the Meantime and Kernel breweries in London offering a refreshing departure away from continental choices. With a gorgeous ambience and superior service, you are guaranteed to be treated to an all round night of luxury in this former Russian strip club.
Not only are the drinks to die for, but the dedicated bar menu is equally as enticing with unrivalled snacks such as chicken wings, hot dogs, and the short rib nuggets, not forgetting their sweet treats, of course, they know what we want from a night out, and they deliver the goods. It’s not just any bar grub, far from it, simply named but complex in taste; heroic food delivered just when you need it, at a reasonable price.
Hawksmoor pleases both men and women alike, with is masculine steaks, and its beautiful surroundings, it’s sure to be a winner for a first-date, a proposal, or even a marriage ceremony. Yes, a marriage ceremony. As well as corporate events they host wedding receptions and meat-fuelled private parties in the basement bar or the back area of the restaurant upstairs. We can’t find fault with this East-End beauty, it’s a five-star bar, full of charm, sophistication and glamour. Fabulous cocktails, gorgeous food, and brilliant service…perfect.
