The Book Club Shoreditch

The Book Club ShoreditchOffering a cultural revolution to the East End’s social scene, The Book Club in Shoreditch is an unprecedented experience, fusing creative events and late night drinking; this quirky venue offers an extensive array to feed one’s mind, body and soul. The Book Club presents an eclectic on-going programme of events and social activities in art, music, film, fashion, philosophy, design, science, and everything else. The line-up includes special screenings and cross-platform club nights showcasing new creative talent through to informal evening classes and talks by a host of assorted interesting thinkers.

Set over two floors in a former Victorian warehouse within Shoreditch, this place is unconventionally cool with an atmosphere that is chic and stylish, without being too self-absorbed and ostentatious like a lot of clubs in London. The interior oozes charm and character, blending the original with the contemporary with layers of vintage themed furnishings, interesting and intriguing art and exhibitions which embellish the walls, and a pleasant, sociable atmosphere.

You are treated to a complete, alternative night out, truly turning the social scene on its head offering workshops, talks, cultural showcases, parties, ping pong, pool, speed dating, and the best in new music. This place truly captures everything on the arts spectrum while offering gorgeous food and a good selection of beverages from breakfast right through until dawn. The Book Club is an all-day venue, catering for all.

The Book Club ShoreditchThis place is friendly, laid-back and eccentric, offering an array of unusual and diverse events; you can, and will, never get bored of the Book Club.

In September, The Book Club launched SuperCulture, an arts and culture collective running accessible and inspiring exhibitions and events, uniting the Mothership‘s cultural programme of events across their four Sister Venues, (3 in East London: The Book Club, the Queen of Hoxton and Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen) one in Brighton: Patterns, a hub of music both vocally and physically, over two floors and out on to the terrace (Up, Down and Out),  as the backdrop for drinking, eating and dancing 7 days a week.

SuperCulture stands for intelligent, irreverent, playful and powerful arts and culture development, supported by Mothership Group to keep it fair and accessible. Check their What’s On page for upcoming events.
