Are you ready to spend about £3000 or possibly more into new style accessories? If your answer is yes, then read on. In this article we are going to give you some valuable advice on how to make you look good, and how to make the contents of your wardrobe a work of art that separates you from the crowd.
WATCH
As we mentioned several times in our past articles, don’t be afraid of investing your money into a good watch, as it will make all the difference between looking professional or not. Remember, you only need one, as long as it’s a good one. Quality over quantity wins at all times. Just think, what would your reaction be if you saw a man in a great outfit wearing a cheap watch? You wouldn’t want that reaction to be directed to you, right?
TIE
As with watches, be careful to choose good quality ties, as cheap ties look cheap – there’s just no way to disguise it. It’s important to keep a good number of ties in your wardrobe, just so that you can nicely match them with your shirts and suits. When indecisive about what fabric to choose, go for silk at all times. It’s definitely the best material of all.
WALLET
I’m always surprised to see so many business men that still cling to the wallet they got when they were in college or high school. While I can understand their emotional attachment to it, it just doesn’t look professional. Once you start climbing the career ladder, it’s time for a change. Still get a wallet that matches your personality, but be sure to get a durable one. As a rule of thumb, if you go for designer wallets, it will be easier to find your style without compromising on quality.
BRIEFCASE
The importance of having a sturdy, multifunctional briefcase is sometimes underestimated. If you got yours just after getting your first job, it might be a good idea to update it. Chances are that you got it in a rush just to replace your backpack, and that you spent £20 or so with the intention of upgrading it once the good money would start coming in, and then forgot all about it. Our advice is to get one that converts into a practical overnight bag, just to be roomy enough for emergency overnight trips.
GOOD UMBRELLA
By ‘good umbrella’ we mean ‘an umbrella that doesn’t break after the first three or fourth times you use it’. It’s just too appalling to see successful men going around with cheap umbrellas they bought out of despair from a man on the street. Most of the time you can’t even tell the shape of the poor little thing anymore, all bent and crooked and just waiting for its short life to end. You can’t say London doesn’t give you the chance to buy a solid, quality one – quite the opposite. If there’s a city renowned for its umbrellas, well, it is London. So, don’t wait till the next downpour, and be ready for when the rain comes.
REVERSIBLE BELT
It’s the only belt you need, really. A black leather one that switches into brown and vice versa will last you a good while. By getting black and brown, you’ll also avoid headaches when it comes to wearing your clothes in the morning. You just know that they go well with every colour, and you’ll be at ease.
