Dishes are created by combining Indian ingredients with local produce and Indian cooking techniques with a European design template which produces a distinctive layering of flavours. Choose from a selection of menus including festival showcases, a highly acclaimed Breakfast menu, a private dining pack and a special party feast. Highlights include the Herdwick lamb curry; tender meat with a gorgeous masala spiced with ginger, cardamom and fiery chillies. The roast loin of wild Cumbrian red deer is complemented by melt-in-your-mouth sautéed potatoes, rock moss and exquisite onion sauce. The kitchen excels in seafood preparations. A whiting fillet, cooked with precision, comes with a marvellous rich coconut cream infused with ginger and turmeric. For dessert, the Tawny port poached pear with garam masala sable and cinnamon ice cream is all-round indulgence.
The wine and cocktail menus shouldn’t be dismissed either. The vibrant list features classic drinks such as the Negroni and unique infusions such as their signature Asian Paradise – a blend of gin, lychees, and lemongrass infused with a bitter herb liqueur.
