Escape the hustle and bustle of London work life at the city’s newest mixologist bar. Located on the upper floor of the Royal Exchange, Threadneedle Bar is the perfect sanctuary to have those well-deserved, post-work cocktails.
Founded in the 16th century, the Royal Exchange is an enchanting building that provides incredible history to Threadneedle Bar’s surroundings.
In keeping with the archaic theme, the cocktail menu is inspired by Jerry Thomas’ Bartenders Guide from 1862—the first mixology book ever to be published in the US. If there’s any bar in London that can accommodate your elaborate drink desires, this is the place.
“The Royal Exchange is a truly magical building,” explains the newly appointed General Manager, Laura Dove. “With the launch of a standalone bar, we want to create an all-day drinking destination in its own right, for City professionals and visitors alike.”
Bar food is also available on the menu; as well as a range of new and vintage wines, spirits and champagnes. Threadneedle Bar is on the north-facing mezzanine of The Royal Exchange, overlooking the Grand Café.
