The Cuckoo Club

Cuckoo Club SqOnce voted Best New Club at the London Club and Bar Awards, The Cuckoo Club is undoubtedly one of London’s hottest nightspots and attracts a fashionable crowd of the city’s finest, as well as a routine pack of celebrities.

Competing with clubs in LA for its constant celebrity sightings, The Cuckoo Club is a prime suspect for spotting stars looking to hit the dance floor. Make a reservation and arrive early to this lavish spot because the lines are guaranteed to be stiff. And keep your eye out for British and American royalty – both Prince Harry and Eva Longoria have been spotted here.

Lavishly decorated in hues of pink, burgundy, and purple, The Cuckoo Club has been recently resigned into a sumptuous boudoir by the 60s fashion designer and Biba founder Barbara Hulanicki. It features a fine dining restaurant upstairs and a fun-filled club downstairs, where DJs spin a fusion of musical genres and patrons are illuminated by rows of ceiling-mounted LED lights flashing in tune to the appropriate mood and music.

Adding to the glamour are the elevated mirror-backed bar, flowing maroon silk curtains, button-backed leather chairs, and gold detailing, all of which create the perfect atmosphere for rubbing shoulders with the likes of P. Diddy and Rihanna.

Everything about this place spells debauchery and decadence with a hint of rock ‘n’ roll. The mixologist expertly concocts your cocktail; you can enjoy dinner on its plush banquettes or, with a reservation, in its VIP area.

Members and non-members alike can book tables in The Cuckoo Club’s restaurant. The perk for non-members is that they’ll also gain access to the club after dinner.

The food at The Cuckoo Club doesn’t conform to cuisine. Instead you will find quite a selection of luxurious fish and meat dishes such as grilled langoustine and wagyu beef burgers.

Starters upwards of £10 and mains upwards of £15, and while the desserts may seem a hefty price at £8, you will be rewarded well if you order the Valrhona ganache with sea salt crumble.

Drinks wise, cocktails are the thing to go for. Blends of champagne and absinthe will definitely get the party started but you can equally go for a tame G&T. Either way, the bar men know their way around an ice cube.

With three dance floors and different themed nights running throughout the week, there’s certainly room for choice. From rock ‘n’ roll to dance and RnB, the DJs have got it covered. The club really comes alive post 11-om so make sure you’re in the door and ready to party.
