Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Art Advisor to join our team. The Art Advisor will be responsible for providing expert guidance to clients on acquiring, managing, and investing in art. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the art market, art history, and contemporary trends, with the ability to curate collections and build long-term relationships with collectors, galleries, and artists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Consultation: Work closely with clients to understand their tastes, interests, and investment goals in art.
  • Collection Curation: Source and recommend artworks that align with the client’s aesthetic and financial objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Stay up to date with global art market trends, auction results, and emerging artists to provide strategic advice.
  • Artist and Gallery Liaison: Develop and maintain strong relationships with galleries, auction houses, artists, and dealers to secure exclusive opportunities for clients.
  • Art Acquisition and Sales: Oversee the acquisition, negotiation, and sale of artworks on behalf of clients.
  • Portfolio Management: Assist clients in building and managing diverse art collections, including advising on valuation, insurance, and conservation.
  • Event and Exhibition Coordination: Organise private viewings, gallery tours, and art fairs for clients to engage with the art community.

Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in business development.
  • Strong knowledge of both historical and contemporary art markets.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple high-profile clients.

Compensation:
£30,000 per annum, commission-based incentives, and benefits package.
