Some fashion mistakes to avoid for a female professional look

After our article about How to avoid the most common men’s fashion mistakes, here are some things that female professionals should never wear:

Uggs. No matter how cold it is outside, don’t come into the office wearing Uggs. Replace them with: Wear leather boots instead: if you don’t want to wear heels, flat boots like can actually be stylish.
Fanny packs went out of style way back in the 80s and in a professional environment, they’d show you have no idea of what fashion is. Replace them with: obviously, a handbag, clutch, satchel, tote, even a briefcase.

Same, overdoing with sequins at the office will make you look cheap, out of touch and unprofessional. Let your accessories do the talking. Wear your bling on a watch, earrings or statement necklace instead of on your shirt.

Same again: too much animal print in our outfit is another big fashion mistake. If you choose to wear a piece with this print, make sure it’s only one (possibly small) item of your outfit. Only shoes, or only your bag, etc.
Leggings and yoga (or even leather) pants are never appropriate for the office, not under a skirt and especially not worn alone as pants! Tights – both opaque and sheer – provide the same coverage as leggings, with a polished look.

You should also avoid:

Visible underwear.
Too tight clothes.
Eveningwear during the day.
Tracksuits.
Childish footwear.
Denim over denim.
