For over four years the London-based catering company Basement Galley has hosted their flagship dining experience “The Underground Supper Club” in one of London’s most unique venues, a decommissioned 1967 Victoria Line London Underground carriage, which is completely stationary at the Pump House Museum in Walthamstow.

As of 2017, Basement Galley has a talented new Head Chef – Shiann Stuiver has joined them from Pollen Street Social and will be showcasing her insanely creative culinary skills at The Underground Supper Club London from March 2017.

Monthly different menus always feature over four courses plus bread, coffee and petits fours, diners can expect sophisticated, fine-dinging flavours from around the world. Chefs at The Underground Supper Club London can cater for most religious or allergy requirements as long as they are written in the special box booking and the on-site bar offers a carefully selected menu of wines, whiskies, beers, and soft drinks on the night.

There is no dress code at The Underground Supper Club London, but during the winter months you may wish to wear something a little warmer should a draft slip through the heated tube carriage. If you need a little more warmth, anyway, you can ask us for one of their cosy red blankets!

TICKET TYPES

These are the ticket types that apply to all events on our tube carriage.
  • Luggage Rack Special (£59) – Enjoy a four-course meal at one of our social tables. despite silver service and high-end food, it’s a supper club, NOT a restaurant. The organisers will try to accommodate people who book together close to each other, but please be prepared for sitting next to the odd stranger as well due to the layout of the carriage: it’s been proven time and time again that guests who get to know fellow diners in this way get the most out of the evening!  You will be sitting with friends and strangers alike – so don’t be shy: you are totally allowed to talk on this tube!
  • At some events, tables for 4 are bookable with no extra price per person, but you need to check the ticket portal if this option is available for the event you’d like to attend.
  • VIP Booth (£79) – Enjoy a four-course tasting menu in the comfort of a private booth for 2. You’ll also have a carafe of wine waiting for you and a glass of bubbles with your dessert to round the evening off.

You can also impress your friends booking out the historic 1967 Victoria Line carriage for private supper clubs functions for up to 32 guests. Our classic four-course tasting menu including wine, a welcome drink and exclusive hire of the carriage is available from £55 per person. Private events can also be arranged with live jazz, cocktail masterclasses or even whisky tastings!

In 2017, the decommissioned Victoria Line London Underground carriage is opening the doors not just in the evening but with delicious three-course brunches from Basement Galley’s acclaimed chefs, dessert, bottomless tea and freshly-ground coffee galore on Saturday mornings.
