Beaufort Bar – The Savoy

Savoy Bar LogoOne of two bars in the newly renovated Savoy, the Beaufort Bar is a glamorous establishment providing luxury, theatre and indulgence.

Dressed in jet-black with gold and velvet accessories, the Beaufort is a prime example of elegance and style, offering decadent and intimate Art-deco surroundings with impeccable service from the attentive and polite staff, just as you’d expect from a hotel of the Savoy’s standing.

The bar is one of the most historic parts of the hotel; previously being host to the world-famous “Stomping at The Savoy” dinner dances. The charm, sophistication and character have been retained throughout; as you enter you feel like you’ve stepped into a refined 1920’s film, it’s the premium setting for a celebratory event.

In keeping with the opulent theme, the bar offers one of London’s most extensive champagne lists by the glass and by the bottle, including rare vintages from Louis Roederer and Cristal, providing the perfect accompaniment for a ceremonious and unparalleled evening.

The Savoy was the pioneer of the sophisticated drinking scene in London, creating some of the most famous drink combinations and cocktail classics in history. The current cocktail menu offers a harmonious combination of old and new, embracing a mixture of flavours using the most exquisite taste elements, providing prestigious quality, and proof why their signature cocktails have become so popular.

Each and every cocktail has been carefully selected and been treated to full, meticulous attention to detail, including the ‘Cask Ages Sazerac’ which rests in an absinthe-washed oak barrel for two weeks, just to provide you the very best. The theatrical component is witnessed with the playful and witty presentation of your cocktail such as ‘Gilded Cage’ made with vodka, fresh passion fruit, and chartreuse, served in a birdcage and is designed for dual-drinking.

The nightly entertainment plays a huge part to the sophisticated style of evening with a pianist as well as a vocalist, while on the first Sunday of every month, the bar plays host to Evenings of Cabaret & Burlesque, which have been shortlisted for a 2013 London Cabaret Award.

The Beaufort Bar’s dark luxury has also inspired an indulgent new Art Decadent afternoon tea, available every Sunday for £62.50 per person.

If you want a show-stopping experience, boasting a unique and exclusive evening of opulence, this is the place to go.
