Job Purpose

The Trevellyan Junior Broker role directly impacts the sales performance and profitability of the business unit as it is wholly responsible for new business into to Trevellyan. It is the responsibility of the Junior Broker to arrange appointment conduct market exercises and close the sale. The account Junior Broker will also have a target for new business. It will be the responsibility of the Junior Broker to meet targets and KPIs through working closely with colleagues and management to ensure that all actions taken fully support the business operational requirements in line with company brand & vision, policies, code of conduct & organizational culture.
 
Job Responsibilities & Performance Standards
  • Create quote sheets for all new business quotes
  • Must consistently use ACT to diarise reminders to call people and update details of new clients.
  • Hold “Close Meetings” with your manager to discuss the strategy required to close the sale and role play it. Use the form provided.
  • Complete fact finds with all required information. Create a comprehensive in-house Industry specific Fact Find questionnaire.
  • Broker the new business quote as per the Premium Guide;
  • Below £100 - online quote - 1 to 2 markets, no visit
  • £100-£250 - quote -  3 market exercises, no visit
  • £250-£500 – quote 6+ Market Exercises, plus visit
  • Above £500 judgment call subject to industry
  • Where feasible quote the new business quote with additional broker fees to maximize the company profit.
  • Close the sale & take payment from the customer
  • If paying as a lump sum take payment by card & use the WorldPay facility
  • If paying by Premium Credit take the clients first payment as a deposit & then set up the remainder on the Premium Credit online facility
  • If paying by insurer direct debit get the clients bank account details & pass this to the insurer.
  • After taking payment send out the following to the client:
  • Invoice
  • Policy Documentation
  • Thank you for the business email.
  • 30days after the policy taken make a courtesy call to all new buisness to confirm they are happy with the service & make attempts to upsell other policies the client might have such as personal lines products.
  • Record all of your credit control chasing in ACT
  • Every day complete a Tracker Report & distribute this to your Manager & Senior Management
  • Generate a monthly new business income of £5000 by:
  • Completing Fact Finds on any Appointments that the Broker cannot deal with
  • Upselling clients into additional policies

Minimum Qualifications/Education/Experience/Training/Knowledge
  • Qualifications and Education: Good Level
  • Experience (Years & Type): Sales environment
  • Training: Broker Assess will be given
